at full vac my guage reads -29 and full boost it reads 5-6 pounds. when i shut my car off it goes back slowly to 5 vacuum (never goes to 0). does that mean my boost gauge is not reading right? could i be boosting more then it shows?

Disconnect the vacuum line that attaches to the back of the gauge with the car not running. Let it sit for the same time it takes for the gauge to drop down to 5 vac. If the gauge returns to 5 vac. with the vacuum line disconnected then the gauge is bad.

umm, i kind of got lost in that explanation, but basically ur tellin me is to disc my vac line from the gauge, let it sit, and if it doesnt reset to 0 then the guage is fubared, correct?

yea guage is fubar, bah, now i gotta buy another one. oh well im just gonna get a diff set anyways.
